Brisbane, QLD - Hybrid working arrangements We’re seeking a highly experienced Senior API Engineer to join our team on a contract basis and play a key role in shaping the backend and full‑stack architecture of our client’s digital products. This is a hands‑on, on‑site role based in Brisbane, where you’ll be responsible for building scalable, secure, and maintainable APIs and web applications that support high‑performing user experiences. If you’ve contributed to the successful delivery of robust, production‑grade systems and enjoy working across both backend and frontend technologies, we’d love to hear from you. Core Skills & Experience Strong experience developing modern web applications using TypeScript and React, with a solid grasp of front‑end design principles. Proven expertise in building and maintaining RESTful APIs using .NET, with a focus on performance and reliability. A track record of delivering full‑stack solutions that meet business and user needs. Advanced proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and version control using Git. A commitment to engineering excellence through unit testing and automated test coverage. Comfortable working in Agile environments, collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams. Experience integrating and working with enterprise Content Management Systems, particularly Adobe AEM. Familiarity with Domain‑Driven Design (DDD) principles for API architecture. Hands‑on experience with automated testing frameworks such as Webdriver.io or Selenium. Exposure to GitLab CI/CD workflows. Experience with Docker and AWS for containerization and cloud deployment. A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for mentoring and improving engineering practices across the team. Desirable Skills & Experience Familiarity with Domain‑Driven Design (DDD) principles for API architecture. Hands‑on experience with automated testing frameworks such as Webdriver.io or Selenium. Exposure to GitLab CI/CD workflows. Experience with Docker and AWS for containerization and cloud deployment. Knowledge of Aurelia.js or similar JavaScript frameworks.
