Job Description Senior Software Engineer About the client Our client is a leading global IT services provider delivering innovative technology solutions and consulting services to major enterprises across various industries. This role supports a prominent financial institution known for its strong digital transformation agenda customer‑centric approach and commitment to operational excellence. About the role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer with a strong background in automation programming and quality engineering. This role involves hands‑on development using Java, Python and TypeScript to build robust automation frameworks and software solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in API Kafka MQ and file‑based protocols along with proficiency in UNIX commands and system integration testing. Key Responsibilities Hands‑on programming experience 8 years in Java / Python / Typescript building automation frameworks. Hands on experience in handling API Kafka MQ TCP / IP and File Based protocols. Should be able to work with UNIX commands. Software Development and Deployment: Experience in designing, developing and deploying high quality software solutions with comprehensive test coverage without supervision. Programming / Software Development: Experience in designing and building programs or application features. Automation frameworks Automated Tests meeting business objectives and requirements. Quality Engineering: Good experience in system integration testing experience in UI / Backend (API / KAFKA / MQ) automation with frameworks like Selenium / Playwright / DevTest. Experience with RDBMS (Oracle) and using SQL or other data integration / ETL tools. Experience with source control systems (GitHub) and any of the CI / CD tools like TeamCity, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc. Experience with effort estimations. Required Experience Software Development Lifecycle: Strong understanding and application of software delivery lifecycle principles including design, development, testing, deployment, support and evaluation. Software Data Analysis: Proficiency with analysing business objectives and translating requirements to technical implementation components. Implement Best Practice: Apply and promote industry best patterns and practices. Engineering and Strategy: Contribute to the strategic engineering goals within own team and platform.
