About Friends Child Care Friends Child Care is a community based 39 place not‑for‑profit Childcare Centre located on the grounds of St Vincents Private Hospital operating under the auspices of the Roman Catholic Church Diocese of Lismore. Our centre provides an exceptional early childhood program for children aged 6 months to school aged in a beautiful homelike environment. Our centre is rated as meeting all areas in the National Quality Standards Assessment. Position Summary We are seeking a Director for Friends Child Care Centre. The successful applicant will provide the highest quality care and education to our children, lead a team of childcare educators, and manage daily operations of our 39 place centre. Responsibilities The Child Care Director acts as the educational leader of the centre and works within the mission and values of the St Vincents Hospital campus. Responsibilities include overseeing curriculum delivery, staff development, regulatory compliance, and maintaining a safe learning environment. Qualifications and Experience Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or Bachelor of Teaching / Early Childhood Minimum of twelve months experience as a Director and Educational Leader of a Child Care Centre with 25 places or above High level of understanding of the National Quality Framework and National Quality Standards Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, the National Law and Regulations Commitment to the Early Childhood Australia Code of Ethics (2016) Proven interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team to motivate and lead staff Current First Aid Qualification specific for early childhood settings (HLTAID012 / HLTAID004), Child Protection Training (CHCPRT025 or equivalent), and NSW Working with Children Check clearance prior to commencement National Criminal History Check (NCHC) Eligibility for teacher registration under NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Eligibility for Nominated Supervisor with NSW Department of Education Ensure safeguarding requirements are strictly adhered to and strong risk management practices are maintained Benefits Up to $10k recruitment bonus Terms and Conditions Apply Salary packaging with SmartSalary – up to $15,900 and $2,650 in entertainment benefits per year, plus access to novated vehicle leasing, Smartrewards and many other options 3 free counselling/coaching sessions with AccessEAP each year Discounted gym and pool memberships through Fitness Passport Free annual Flu vaccinations Discounted St Vincents Private Hospital admissions for you and your family Delicious staff meals at a great price Free onsite parking Additional Information The Welcome Experience in the Northern Rivers connects you and your family with local people and resources to help you settle in and feel at home in your new community faster.
