News Corp Australia is seeking an exceptional journalist to join our team as a National Political Correspondent. Based in Canberra, this role offers a front‑row seat to the nation’s political stage, where you will report on the key players, policies, and debates that define our country. What’s the role? Break exclusive political stories and provide insightful analysis for a national audience. Collaborate with state‑based colleagues to ensure cohesive and comprehensive political coverage. Build and maintain strong relationships with key political figures, policymakers, and stakeholders. Deliver high‑quality content under tight deadlines, demonstrating initiative and resilience. Report directly to the National Editor for Network News. Who are you? A deep curiosity and passion for uncovering stories that matter. Proven experience in political reporting or a related field. Strong multiplatform skills including video broadcast and editing. Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with a focus on accuracy and clarity. Initiative, maturity, and enthusiasm for tackling difficult and robust assignments. A strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
