URGENTLY NEEDED Volunteer Retro and Vintage Guru MARGATE - Save the Children Australia Op Shop We are seeking a passionate person to assist us in expanding and maintaining our special Retro and Vintage range within our stores. Our ideal candidate will have a fair knowledge of this genre and a curious nature with an enthusiasm for research. You will be surprised by the obscure, quirky and wonderful items that are donated to our Save the Children store. Items: Fine textiles Patterns and sewing paraphernalia Antiques Collectibles Valuable artwork We also have treasured collections of vintage and retro record albums. Assistance of a knowledgeable person with maintaining and growing this would be valuable. At Save the Children stores, our aim is to raise valuable funds for our many projects. We therefore strive to be knowledgeable of our products' value. Time, patience and research are an important requisite of this position. You will be working as part of a team, sharing the area specialty with other members and supporting one another. Category Young People Commitment Regular – more than 6 months Type of Work Retail & Sales, Tour Guides, Information & Heritage Time Required Monday - Saturday, either full day or half day Training Induction provided.
