Retail Volunteers needed Blackwood Op Shop 18+ WE TRAIN YOU MONDAY 10-4/1-4 or WED 10-4/ 1-4 Are you friendly and welcoming, sociable and can chat with customers, able to handle money and operate cash register, happy to be part of a team, flexible and willing to do any of the shop tasks? Save the Children Op‑Shops provide a unique shopping experience and the chance to support projects that help create better lives for children in Australia, the Pacific and beyond. Surrounded by recycled fashion pieces, toys, books and vintage gems you will work with dedicated staff and enthusiastic volunteers to meet financial targets and improve customer engagement. By volunteering in our Blackwood Op Shop, you'll be supporting Save the Children, Australia's leading child rights organisation. We work with families and communities to ensure that every child can reach their potential. Why volunteer with us? It’s fun – there are tons of things you can do in our store, from dressing a shop window to chatting with customers or sorting through our fabulous array of stock. We will provide all the training you’ll need, including how to use the register. It’s flexible – ideally you’ll be available to volunteer 1–3 days per week, either full day or half‑day shifts. All activities are Centrelink approved. You’ll make a difference – our programs improve the health of children, create greater access to quality education for all, and provide protection from abuse, neglect and exploitation. You’ll be making a real difference to the lives of millions of children. Who are we looking for? We’re looking for punctual, reliable and honest volunteers. All you need is willingness to learn. Whether you’re seeking retail work experience, recently retired, looking to meet new people, or anything in between, we’d love you to join our brilliant volunteer team in our Blackwood Op Shop.
