About the Company Summit Tower Hire is a privately owned and operated Travel Tower MEWP company, providing services and solutions to major providers within Australia.We specialise in the Bronto and Ruthmann Travel Towers with a range of 30M-70M in Height. Job Title Travel Tower / EWP Operators Responsibilities Operation of EWP to high standards in accordance with high-risk work licensing and the Summit Tower Hire requirements. Driving of Truck to project sites and carrying out daily maintenance checks on the truck. Ensuring all documentation is accurate and meets specification. Undertake travel tower operations in accordance with all work health, safety and environmental requirements in accordance with high-risk work licensing and the Summit Tower Hire requirements. Follow directions of the Operations Manager and work in accordance with issued safety documents including SWMS, JSAs and other site-specific documents. Report all hazards to site Operations Manager or person responsible for managing worksite and provide input to risk assessments, hazard identification and implementation of hazard controls. Undertake manual labour tasks which may include loading and unloading of equipment, tower climbing, using hand tools. Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of all Summit Tower Hire assets including fleet vehicles, plant equipment, tools, electrical and rigging equipment. Attend and provide input into daily worksite prestart meetings and monthly toolbox meetings as required. Operate company vehicles, plant and equipment as required. Report for work fit for duty and free from the influence of alcohol and other drugs at all times and undergoes random, scheduled or suspicion drug & alcohol testing as required in accordance with policies and procedures. Maintain currency of training and competency requirements including High Risk Work Licenses, heights and rescue training, internal and external inductions. Familiarise themselves with and adhere to company policies, plans and procedures. Ability to follow directions from leadership or management personnel. Ability to work unsupervised when required. Attention to detail – careful and concise approach to execution of works. Safety focused – approach work tasks in a safe and compliant manner without risk-based behaviour. Project Types High-voltage Transmission lines Telecommunications Mining and resource sectors Requirements / Qualifications Experience with travel towers. Must be available to travel and work away from home when required. Minimum of 1 year operating an Elevated Work Platform with truck mounted EWP experience.
