Product and Sales Expert – TOW AND FERT - Agricultural Machinery Metalform is a 120+ strong, family‑owned design and manufacturing company with a 60‑year legacy of building world‑class, NZ‑made products. From our factory in Dannevirke, we design and export Tow and Fert , Tow and Mow , and Tow and Collect machinery across Australasia, the US, and Europe. We take ideas from sketch to shelf — all under one roof. Our engineers, fabricators, and field reps work side by side to deliver machinery that makes real change on the land. Now, we’re expanding our Australian sales team and looking for a practical, agricultural‑minded Sales Representative to join our Melbourne‑based crew. The Role: Sales Representative (Agricultural Machinery) This is a hands‑on, on‑the‑road role focused primarily on Tow and Fert - our liquid fertiliser application system that’s reshaping how farmers feed their pasture and crops, travelling across Australia to demo, deliver, and support farmers, contractors, and other rural professionals in our network. Additionally you’ll also represent our Tow and Mow and Tow and Collect brands. It’s a role for someone who loves the ag sector, knows their way around fertiliser, machinery, and farm systems - and isn’t afraid of a bit of travel, hard work, and dust. What You’ll Be Doing Represent Tow and Fert , Tow and Mow , and Tow and Collect Travel nationwide for demos, deliveries, field days, and customer visits Operate, set up, and demonstrate machines on‑farm Talk fertiliser with confidence - understand the difference between urea, lime, foliar feeding, and soil health systems Support farmers in improving pasture performance through correct application techniques Provide technical product advice, training, and hands‑on support Assist with basic servicing, troubleshooting, and after‑sales care Collaborate with two other team members in Australia and our NZ‑based marketing and production teams Who Thrives Here You’ve worked in or around agriculture - fertiliser, pasture management, contracting, or farm supply You’re comfortable talking to farmers about nutrient use, feed, and equipment You’re practical - can tow, load, and operate machinery with ease You’re mechanically capable - if something breaks in the field, you can usually sort it You’re fit, hands‑on, and comfortable spending plenty of time outdoors You enjoy travel - expect regular trips across states for demos and customer support You’re self‑motivated, genuine, and take pride in representing a proven brand What You’ll Bring Background in agriculture, machinery sales, fertiliser, or farm contracting Understanding of on‑farm fertiliser application, agronomy basics, or nutrient systems Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem‑solving skills Great communication and relationship‑building ability Current driver’s licence (towing experience preferred) Willingness to travel extensively and stay overnight as required What We Offer Work ute, laptop, and phone provided Competitive base salary + performance incentives Full product and technical training (including in NZ at our factory HQ) Support from a tight, practical, and well‑resourced team Opportunity to grow with a business that’s expanding fast across Australia A role with real impact - helping farmers save time, money, and fertiliser Ready to Get Out There?
