Hangan Steel is a leading structural steel manufacturer and installer in Victoria, who specialises in fabricating and installing structural steel for residential and commercial works. We are a team of over 60 staff across multiple locations (Bayswater, Warragul and Caloundra) that pride ourselves in both exceptional product and customer service. We are entering an exciting period of growth and are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Project Manager to join our growing team. What to expect/key responsibilities Managing a crew of approximately 3-6 on-site staff (a mixture of qualified staff and apprentices) Simultaneously managing multiple projects from beginning to completion This is a hands‑on role, where no day is the same Training and development for team members Attending site when required, this is not just a desk job Increasing both productivity and motivation for team members Scheduling and planning installations to meet project demand Liaise with Company Directors to manage production cost performance and expenditure to budget Coordinating with both on‑site staff and builders – you will be the primary point of contact Promoting a clean and safe working environment What you bring to the role Previous management experience in the structural steel/and or building industry Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal The ability to not only work well under pressure, but the ability to effectively lead staff in high‑pressure situations The ability to build strong, professional relationships with team members Knowledge of correct OH&S procedures and commitment to their correct implementation – safety first Attention to detail – you will be responsible for both quality control and assurance Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work deadlines and work flow effectively What’s in if for you Become part of a forward‑thinking, growing company Variety in your day‑to‑day working life Working Monday – Friday, 7am – 3.30pm Salary based on experience If you are looking for an exciting new opportunity in a growing company, Hangan Steel (Aust) Pty Ltd welcomes you to apply.
