About the Job There is an exciting opportunity with the Asset Planning team for a Trainee CAD Technician. The Trainee CAD Technician learns computer aided drafting / design skills and complete studies required for Diploma in Civil Construction Design. To provide drafting and design services within the Asset Development team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to : Complete study and on the job components to meet qualification requirements for Diploma of Civil Construction Design. Assist with the design and drafting for current and future year's works programs using computer aided design and drafting software packages. Assist with the production of worksite traffic management plans. This is a fixed-term 3 years working 38 hours per week. About you In order to succeed and thrive in this position, you must have : Ability to work towards completion of traineeship – Diploma of Civil Construction Design. Ability to work in a team environment. Computer competency. Mathematics skills. Benefits Salary : $35,952.00 - $60,153.00 per annum, dependant on age. Permanent staff are entitled to 5 weeks annual leave per year The option of one Rostered Day Off (RDO) every 4 weeks in exchange for working 40 hours per week.
