We're seeking an inspiring and dynamic Technical Services Manager to lead our technical operations, strengthen commercial performance and drive continuous improvement across our business. This is a pivotal leadership role that blends strategic thinking, strong financial/commercial acumen and technical expertise to deliver outstanding results for our customers and our organisation. What You'll Do Provide strong, authentic and visible leadership to the technical team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance. Drive budgets, forecasts, and cost management to ensure financial targets are achieved. Identify and drive opportunities to improve margins, optimise resource utilisation, and increase return on investment. Inspire, mentor, and develop a diverse team of scientists, engineers, technicians, and support staff to reach their full potential. Set clear goals, provide regular coaching and feedback, and champion professional development and succession planning Develop data-driven reports on performance, service quality, and profitability to inform strategic decision-making. What You'll Need A degree qualification in any one of Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or Chemistry combined with extensive industry experience in a similar role. A minimum of 15 years' experience in senior technical positions or similar role. Post Graduate qualification in Business and/or Legal is preferred but not required Demonstrated ability to balance technical excellence with commercial and financial accountability Strong strategic and analytical thinking, coupled with a hands‑on approach to problem-solving. Proven experience leading technical or service teams in a complex, fast‑paced environment. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills The role requires moderate levels of national and international travel.
