Our Moonya aged care residence, Manjimup is looking for a volunteer mini‑bus driver/s to take residents on fun social outings on Fridays and shopping trips on Tuesday and/or Wednesday. Such support gives our residents social interactions on outings and the opportunity to go and do their own grocery shopping and choose their own items which they thoroughly enjoy. Outings take place Friday mornings for a few hours, and shopping trips are from 9:30 am–12:00 pm. You do not have to commit to both. If you have a good driving record, an outgoing, caring nature and enjoy helping the elderly, this could be the role for you. Volunteering with BaptistCare is a rewarding experience that provides you with an opportunity to make new friends while providing a fabulous day out for the residents which brings them a lot of enjoyment. No special licence required to drive an 8‑seater bus. Training provided. No weekends. Minimum commitment : 6 months. Roles and responsibilities Transport residents to social outings on Fridays. Transport residents on shopping trips on Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays. Ensure safe driving and adherence to all road safety regulations. Provide companionship and support during outings and shopping trips. Qualifications and requirements Good driving record. Outgoing, caring nature. Willingness to volunteer time with residents.
