Senior Claims Specialist

Overview We are seeking a candidate to join our Public Sector claims team at Marsh Australia in the role of Technical Claims Specialist . This role will be based in our Sydney office . This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. Responsibilities Manage end-to-end processes for a mixed portfolio of primarily Public Liability, Professional Indemnity and Property claims; Conduct accurate reserving, claims investigation, manage claims costs, and negotiate with various third parties; Build and maintain rapport with clients; Analysing the entitlements of cover to Clients Dealing with external reinsurers on a quarterly basis Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including brokers, underwriters, and reinsurers. What you need to have 7+ years of general insurance claims experience Good written and oral communication skills; The ability to remain calm under pressure and be able to work flexibly when required; Previous experience in providing indemnity advice to stakeholders Deductive reasoning and problem solving skills The ability to work in Australia. What makes you stand out The following, while not required, would be highly regarded: Experience in managing high value public liability, property claims and D&O claims Relevant tertiary qualifications, such as Law, Business/Commerce, Loss Adjusting or ANZIIF studies; Previous client facing experience.
