The role involves managing a small team in the provision of advice to Government (options/analysis), developing measures (e.g., through annual Budget and Mid-Year Economic and Fiscal Outlook processes), and implementing announced measures.Position Requirements:The Director is expected to be able to:show leadership: encourage and motivate a team (Unit); be proactive, innovative, and inclusive; and foster an environment that encourages development and learning;think critically: assess the implications of policy and other developments and develop sound policy advice on complex issues;engage and communicate effectively: build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders;navigate strategic context: understand the policy landscape, identify opportunities, show good judgement, anticipate issues, and minimise risk;identify priorities and plan the work of a unit: be responsive and flexible, and manage uncertainty and change; anddeliver results: lead work to deliver timely and high-quality outcomes that influence policy makers and effectively implement the Government’s decisions.Desirable Qualifications / ExperienceCandidates with diverse experience and interests are encouraged to apply.Relevant tertiary qualification(s) in a relevant field, including,
