Uniting Age Well - Noble Park – Noble Park VIC We are seeking a volunteer with a genuine interest in the elderly. The role will consist of conversing with residents, helping with art & crafts, reading, and assisting with bus outings. We are seeking someone to volunteer one day per week, Tuesday if preferred, for a minimum of 6 months. Responsibilities Gathering or escorting residents to and from the activity venue. Facilitate small group activities such as Scrabble or board games. Assist with setting up and tidying up during events. Use judgement to ensure residents attending bus outings are appropriately dressed for the weather. Assist staff during boarding and disembarking from the Lifestyle bus. Assist with the preparation of hot or cold drinks for residents under the supervision of staff. Commitment Regular – more than 6 months Time Required One day per week, 9:30 – 4:00 Type of Work Companionship & Social Support, Seniors & Aged Care Training Volunteer orientation and supervision by Chaplain, basic hand hygiene, food handling, and manual handling Category Seniors & Aged Care #J-18808-Ljbffr
