Brightstar Resources(ASX: BTR) owns and operates the established Second Fortune Gold Mine and the newly launched Fish mine in the Laverton Goldfields region of Western Australia. To support our expanding operations and upcoming projects, we are looking for a to join our rapidly growing team. The role: Based in our Subiaco Head Office as the Senior Financial Accountant you will be responsible for providing technical accounting support including the identification and analysis of accounting issues and preparation of accounting papers. Your dutieswill include; Provide the Board and Management with consolidated financial results including variance analysis commentary to assist decision making Preparation of the Annual and Interim Financial Reports in compliance with Accounting Standards and ASX reporting requirements Providing accounting and regulatory guidance in compliance with IFRS and local regulatory standards including the preparation of accounting papers Preparation of monthly journals and balance sheet reconciliations relating to technical accounting issues, e.g., share based payments, leases, tax effect accounting and rehabilitation provisions Ad-hoc project work as require About you: CA/CPA qualification, with a degree in Accounting, Commerceand/ or Finance Highly experienced as a Financial Accountant or similar technical role preferably in an ASX listed company Experience in preparing statutory ASX quarterly, half-yearand full-year reporting Sound knowledge of accounting standards Self-driven approach and experience in taking theinitiative and making decisions Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written,with a proven ability to interact and engage with stakeholdersacross businesses High attention to detail and strong problem solvingskills Proficiency in finance ERP systems preferably Pront What we offer: Inclusive and supportive team.
