Job Title Manager, Enterprise Risk Monitoring Your New Role In this 18‑month contract as Manager, Enterprise Risk Monitoring, you will lead and coordinate key monitoring activities including a global risk‑based program that conducts deep dives into target areas directly linked to specific risks or obligations, such as independent testing of related controls and independent testing and providing oversight, advice, and challenge outcomes from control testing activities conducted by Line 1 Risk. To be successful you will support the Senior Manager, Risk Assessment & Monitoring by leading and reporting on the Line 2 monitoring activities for Group Risk, and by leading the Senior Analyst, Risk Monitoring and providing a supportive, challenging environment. Key Duties Play a leading role in enhancing and maintaining a Line 2 monitoring framework to guide the monitoring function in Group Risk. Develop an annual plan for monitoring engagements, identifying risk areas to be targeted with a deep dive review as part of the Group Risk Monitoring Program (GRMP), and other areas for shorter and more targeted monitoring (Continuous Monitoring). Draft regular reporting on monitoring outcomes to relevant stakeholders, including the Executive and Directors as appropriate. Work collaboratively with stakeholders to help inform and recommend changes to risk frameworks, policies, standards and procedures that impact the Fund, as a result of monitoring activities. Motivate and inspire the team by demonstrating commitment to the Fund's values, decision pillars and leadership principles. Lead the team to operate and make decisions according to the Fund's Policies, Standards and Procedures and the Fund's Key Decision Registers and the delegated authorities. What You'll Need Hold an accreditation in Risk Management from a recognised body such as the Risk Management Institute of Australasia (RMIA) or Governance Institute of Australia (GIA), or be willing to obtain one after joining AustralianSuper. Demonstrated ability to understand and translate external regulatory requirements to shape business outcomes. Strong risk management, assurance and/or audit experience (6+ years), preferably gained in or in relation to a large Financial Services organisation. Strong communication skills and ability to engage and influence. Strong ability to write with effect, particularly in relation to reporting for Executives, Board and Risk & Compliance Committees. Strong understanding of risk assessments. Strong understanding of control design and operating effectiveness.
