Technical Project Manager - Zscaler Rollout FinXL : Your Partner in Technology Solutions FinXL is a leading Australian IT services and solutions company that partners with clients to deliver high-value ICT services. The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager for a 6-month engagement to lead a critical national security transformation project. This high-visibility role requires mandatory, proven experience rolling out Zscaler solutions in large, complex environments. You will be managing the replacement of current Cisco SD-WAN infrastructure across dozens of national sites. Key Responsibilities Zscaler Rollout Leadership : Lead the end-to-end project management for the national deployment of Zscaler across multiple sites, managing the infrastructure transition from Cisco SD-WAN. Technical & Vendor Liaison : Act as the technical leader with the gravitas to liaise effectively between internal technical teams, external vendors, and Managed Service Providers (MSPs). Project Execution : Drive teams, maintain firm control over scope and schedule, and ensure milestones are met within tight timeframes. Cloud Integration : Manage project dependencies related to Azure cloud environments, ensuring seamless integration with the new security platform. Reporting & Governance : Provide excellent, high-level reporting and communication to senior stakeholders on project status, risks, and financial health. Team Dynamics : Bring energy and enthusiasm to drive teams, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment. Required Skills & Experience Mandatory Experience : Proven, hands‑on experience as a Technical Project Manager specifically managing the rollout and implementation of Zscaler (ZIA, ZPA, or ZDX) in a large, complex organization. Technical Acumen : Strong background in enterprise networking, cloud security, and managing infrastructure transitions (e.g., replacing Cisco SD-WAN). Cloud Platforms : Experience with Azure cloud environments is mandatory, with exposure to AWS being a plus. Leadership Style : Must be an agreeable, firm, and driven person with a high-level of energy and enthusiasm to effectively lead transformation teams. Communication : Excellent communication and reporting skills to manage expectations up to executive levels.
