Part-Time Direct Support Worker – Sunshine Coast Be part of a team that provides compassionate, client-centered support for individuals of all ages and backgrounds in the Sunshine Coast region. Responsibilities Assist with personal care support, including showering, toileting, dressing and mobility assistance. Administer medications safely. Transfer individuals using hoists and slide sheets, and provide general assistance with mobility. Perform domestic duties, including cleaning, laundry and meal preparation. Engage clients in community activities such as attending doctors’ appointments, grocery shopping and recreational outings. Qualifications & Experience Experience in disability support work. Excellent communication skills and dedication to delivering the best service. Strong listening skills and ability to work autonomously, under direction and within a team environment. Calm, confident and able to maintain professional boundaries in all environments. Provide personal care with dignity and sensitivity. Commitment to an inclusive society and values of client focus, respect, inclusion, integrity, excellence and courage. Benefits Hourly rate based on industry-related experience and qualifications. Industry-leading training provided by health professionals. Additional penalty rates for night and weekend shifts (per SCHADS Award). Flexibility to support lifestyle and commitments. Support and continued professional development. Required Certificates & Checks Current First Aid and CPR certificates. A Blue Card (Working with Children Card). An NDIS Worker Screening Check (Working with Individuals with Disabilities, formerly a Yellow Card). Commitment to infection prevention and control measures including the use of PPE as directed.
