Buying/Design Assistant

The Role: An exciting newly created position has arisen in our design team to support our Product Developers/Fashion Designers as a Buying/Design Assistant In this role, you will act in a critical support role, liaising with our suppliers and having responsibility for ensuring our beautiful product moves efficiently through our critical path to the end customer. Working cross functionally across departments - you will be the go to for all things suppliers, samples and assisting the team more widely with a range of tasks where no 2 days will ever be the same Sound interesting? Day to day, you will: Build relationships with suppliers and manage supplier monthly meetings Track/manage sample development deliveries to ensure that everything is on-time according to Critical Path using WFX/Excel Pivot Table Negotiating cost prices to ensure we achieve budget margin % using fit notes & record in WFX, referring to supplier history Update and ensure details of each style attributions are correct in WFX Ensure WFX (PLM) is kept up to date and tidy by GTs/PD/Design Help set RRPs alongside Product Developers/Design Manager to ensure a balanced pricing architecture across the categories Prepare samples and cost prices for fits/buy meetings Prepare the Line List from WFX (our system) for each buy Track factory allocation for each style/collection to ensure we have a balance Who are you?
