About the Opportunity The role is responsible for the administration of the Isolated Patients Travel and Accommodation Assistance Scheme (IPTAAS) in accordance with relevant guidelines and Department of Health Policy The main purpose of the position is to improve accessibility of specialist medical treatment of people in rural and remote communities through the provision of financial assistance towards travel and accommodation Process IPTAAS claims, including checking forms for compliance with policy requirements, entering data onto the electronic database and corresponding with patients via phone, mail or email Use your customer relations skills to deliver a positive customer experience whilst providing a timely and efficient service What is on offer 5 weeks annual leave (prorata) Salary packaging (pay less tax), enjoy up to $9k for living expenses, $2.6k for meals and entertainment Novated Leasing Paid Allocated Day Off (ADO) Every Month Fitness Passport and EAP to maintain your health and wellbeing Isolation and Climate Allowance Professional development with support through advanced education & training to help you develop your career A comfortable country lifestyle that supports balance & wellbeing About the Far West LHD Far West Local Health District is one of 15 LHDs under NSW Health, providing high quality public health services to the communities in far west NSW. How to apply To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible: Knowledge of the IPTAAS subsidy scheme Demonstrated experience in a customer service role with excellent communication and customer service skills; including appropriate telephone etiquette and a patient‑centric approach to service provision. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Microsoft suite of applications and keyboard skills. Well‑developed organisational and time management skills. Ability to problem solve, work as part of a team or autonomously, exercise judgement and discretion, with attention to detail. Knowledge of Medical Terminology and willingness to undertake further education. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, demonstrated understanding of confidentiality. Commitment to own professional development and willingness to undertake further organisational based training when required.
