About the Role As a Risk Manager in the ANZ Staff Super team, you’ll play a key role in embedding robust risk management practices within key ANZ Staff Super business units. This first line risk management role will ensure risks are efficiently and effectively identified, assessed, managed, and monitored as part of our day-to-day operations. This specialist role supports business leaders in owning and managing their risks and aligning practices with ANZ Staff Super’s risk management framework. Our primary obligation is to act in the best financial interests of our members, and material service providers are engaged to support this goal. As the first line risk manager, you will contribute significantly to the effective management of risk, including as it relates to services provided by third parties. Role Type: 12-month fixed-term opportunityRole Location: 833 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008Work Hours: Full-time What will your day look like? As a Risk Manager, you will be responsible for: Leading risk management across Member Experience, Operations, and Finance. Identifying, assessing, and reporting risks, maintaining risk registers, and supporting incident management. Conducting risk assessments for new products, services, and initiatives. Designing and improving controls, investigating issues, and escalating emerging risks. Supporting internal and external audit preparation, compliance testing, and risk reviews. Partnering with teams to meet regulatory obligations (CPS 220, CPS 230, FAR), designing and delivering risk and compliance training across the business and supporting a strong risk-aware culture. Providing clear risk reporting and practical advice to senior leaders. What will you bring? To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: Solid experience in first line operational risk and compliance management in an APRA regulated environment Strong understanding of superannuation industry Deep experience and understanding of key risk and compliance conceptsSolid experience overseeing and assessing controls operated by third-party service providers Strong controls framework understanding and experience Strong understanding of regulatory and business operating risk environment to identify emerging risks and actions required to ensure compliance A strategic thinker who understands business and member impacts arising from control weaknesses and risk events Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, interpreting data to inform risk insights and developing pragmatic, proactive solutions to addressing risk and control gaps Experience building effective partnerships with second line risk, internal and external stakeholders Ability to drive and manage own workload and operate within defined deadlines You’re not expected to have 100% of these skills.
