The Role The College is seeking a passionate and experienced instrumental tutor to join our Music Department, specialising in Guitar, Bass Guitar, and Rock Band, commencing Term 1, 2026. This role involves delivering individual and shared lessons on acoustic, electric and bass guitar, supporting students from beginner to advanced levels, as well as teaching both tablature and traditional music notation and directing the College rock bands. This is a casual, term time position, working three days per week (days to be negotiated). To be successful, you will: Demonstrate experience and passion for teaching guitar, bass guitar and rock bands across beginner to advanced levels. Demonstrate the ability to teach both tablature and traditional music notation. Ability to teach collaborative song writing skills is desirable. Inspire and engage students, fostering a love of music and performance. Work autonomously while contributing positively to the College community. Build positive relationships with students, colleagues and the wider College community. The successful candidate will hold a relevant qualification and demonstrate applicable experience.
