Role: Windows Migration Engineer Location: Sydney Experience : 8+ years Responsibilities Develop detailed migration design documents, including architecture diagrams, migration runbooks, risk assessments, and rollback plans. Work closely with stakeholders to gather technical requirements, define migration windows, and coordinate cutover activities. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across Windows and VMware platforms during migration activities. Conduct pre-migration assessments and post-migration validation to ensure system integrity and performance. Proven experience with datacentre migrations, specifically P2P and P2V methodologies. In-depth knowledge of Windows Server environments, virtualization concepts, and VMware technologies. Demonstrated understanding of storage systems (SAN, NAS), networking fundamentals (routing, switching, VLANs), and security best practices (firewalls, access controls, encryption). Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear migration design documents and reports.
