Cook - Aged Care/Retirement Location: Newcastle, NSW Job Type: Permanent – Part Time Hiring a talented Cook to join our team in Mereweather, NSW at an Aged Care/Retirement facility. This role offers the chance to flourish within a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences. We are looking for individuals with the right attitude and personality, who have spark, care for each other, and enjoy working in a team environment. Responsibilities Artfully garnishing dishes to enhance visual appeal. Effectively communicating with kitchen staff to coordinate the timing of cold dishes with hot dishes. Collaborating with other cooks to maintain kitchen efficiency. Collaborating with chefs and other kitchen staff to align cold dishes with overall menu plans (may involve head chef input). Adhering to strict food safety and hygiene standards. Roster Monday – Friday 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM Your Background Desired Skills and Experience Previous experience in a similar role. Warm & friendly energy. Punctuality & reliability. Pride in personal appearance and hygiene. Adherence to food & general safety practices (food safety certificate an advantage).
