Join to apply for the Program Officer role at Queensland Government . The Program Officer will play a key role in supporting innovative and transformational work within the DFV reform space. Reporting to the Manager and working closely with the Principal Program Officer, the Program Officer will provide technical, administrative and project management support across a range of projects and initiatives relevant to the broader reform scope. This work supports the delivery on a number of high‑profile initiatives and commitments, with the potential to contribute meaningful change to the lives of children and young people in residential care and victim‑survivors of DFV. The Program Officer is responsible for a significant secretariat function that requires experience in liaising with stakeholders across all levels of government and nongovernment organisations. It is imperative the Program Officer has a keen understanding of project governance. Project Support and Delivery Assist in the planning, coordination, and delivery of project activities aligned with broader reform initiatives. Develop and maintain project documentation, including timelines, risk registers, progress reports, and meeting records. Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues, escalating as required. Stakeholder Engagement Build and maintain a strong cross‑agency network to support efficient, effective and reliable secretariat support and engagement. Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support project success. Support stakeholder engagement activities, including co‑design workshops and consultation processes. Assist stakeholders in meeting deliverables and deadlines to uphold governance standards. Governance and Compliance Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, policies, and procedures. Contribute to risk management and governance activities for assigned projects. Perform quality checks of key secretariat resources. Communication and Reporting Prepare high‑quality reports, briefings, and correspondence for consideration by senior officers and leadership. Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and stakeholders. Support communication with peers and leadership by providing considered insights and recommendations from a governance perspective. Team Collaboration Work collaboratively within a team environment, contributing to a positive and inclusive culture. Actively participate in team meetings, knowledge‑sharing activities, and professional development opportunities.
