Occasional Saturday required depending on extra work family pick up. Rate $40.30 – $43.01 per hour (L3) including Tax and Super. Costs associated with Insurance & Workcover are handled by the Employer. Job Description We are looking for a caring and confident educator to support a 2‑year‑old child with complex medical needs and global developmental delay in a family home. The child is non‑verbal, PEG fed, and requires full assistance for positioning and mobility. The role suits a candidate comfortable with lifting, floor‑based play, and providing calm, nurturing one‑on‑one support. The child enjoys baths, walks in the pram, cuddles, playing with toys on the mat or being supported sitting. The family values an educator who is warm, patient, confident, and keen to engage with OT and other therapists. Responsibilities Provide childcare and educational support to the child with complex medical needs. Assist with feeding, positioning, mobility, and other daily care requirements. Implement floor‑based play activities and facilitate developmental progress. Collaborate with OT and other therapists to support the child's therapy goals. Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment in the home. Qualifications Certified or pursuing Cert III, Diploma, or higher in Early Childhood Education & Care OR a Bachelor teaching degree in Primary Education with registration with the relevant state teaching authority board. At least 3 years of professional childcare experience with references. WWCC, Police Check, CPR and Level 2 First Aid certification. Possess a car and valid driver’s licence. Willingness to commit at least 12 months. Full working rights in Australia (visa 190 or 186 considered; visa 417 & 462 not required).
