About the Role – Senior Duty Manager We are looking for a reliable, confident, and service-driven Senior Duty Manager to support our front office operations. This role focuses on delivering smooth day-to-day hotel operations, resolving guest issues, assisting with training on-the-job, and ensuring each shift runs efficiently. You will serve as the main contact point for guests and staff during your shift and support the Duty Managers and Guest Service Agents where needed. Key Responsibilities Guest Service & Daily Operations Deliver warm, genuine, and consistent service throughout the guest journey. Handle more complex or escalated guest enquiries and concerns using effective service recovery. Assist with check‑ins, check‑outs, guest accounts, reservations, and general front office tasks. Maintain lobby presence and support guest flow during busy periods. Shift Support & Coordination Oversee the shift to ensure all front office tasks are completed accurately and on time. Provide on‑shift guidance and support to Guest Service Agents and Duty Managers. Ensure opening, closing, and handover procedures are followed correctly. Systems & Administration Update guest profiles, process payments, balance cash, and maintain accuracy in the PMS. Assist with room allocation, room moves, and basic inventory management as directed. Safety & Security Act as first responder for emergencies or incidents during your shift and follow established procedures. Report and document any safety, security, or maintenance issues. About You Experience in a hotel front office role, preferably in a senior or supervisory capacity. Strong customer service focus with the ability to manage difficult situations calmly and professionally. Confident working independently and making sound operational decisions during shifts. Excellent communication skills and a friendly, positive personality. Ability to multitask and stay composed under pressure. Flexibility to work a rotating roster including mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays. Full working rights in Australia. Experience using Opera, RMS, or similar PMS is beneficial but not essential. What We Offer A supportive team environment with opportunities to learn and grow.
