About the Role: We are seeking a Production Manager to join our team at EGR Extrusion, a leader in extrusion sheet manufacturing in Australia. Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager, you will have the ability to view the production line with a macro focus and have the ability to understand the impact on the whole on all aspects of production from the line through to timing, logistics and the delivery to our customers. You have the ability to think outside of the box and critically evaluate current processes, issues and implement effective solutions in a pressured environment. You will collaborate closely with leaders and team members, fostering strong relationships and clear communication to drive meaningful, positive outcomes. For the right person, this role does provide career progression into the role of Manufacturing Manager, acting as the 2IC on a daily basis. Responsibilities: Lead with Passion - Assist in overseeing daily production operations, ensuring safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Drive Success - Collaborate with the Manufacturing Manager to optimize workflows and elevate our production processes. Continuous Improvement - Track, analyze, and report production progress to drive continuous improvement. Engage in hands on production tasks to support daily operations and optimize workflow. Empower Your Team - Coordinate shift rosters and manage workforce to maintain seamless operations. Ensure Product Excellence - Uphold quality standards and work closely with our Quality Team to maintain the highest level of product integrity. Innovate and Improve - Develop and implement production schedules, creating a seamless flow from start to finish. Foster a culture of safety by enforcing WHS policies and practices. What we're looking for? A commitment to safety and quality. A proactive problem-solver with a passion for manufacturing. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Experience in production management or a related field is desirable. Tertiary qualifications in Polymers, Materials, or engineering related discipline. This role will may require the following: some heavy lifting above 20kg, and general production warehouse labor. Why choose EGR?
