Financial Adviser Associate

We are a mid size Accounting and Financial Services Firm with Accounting, Lending and Financial Advisory services. We are a busy growth focussed Company and have been providing exceptional Accounting services to our clients over the last 45 years. We recently re launched financial planning and are on a strong growth path. We are well established and have an excellent reputation in the industry. Due to an adviser leaving, this opportunity has opened up. You would be an associate to the Senior Financial Adviser. We are seeking a permanent full time go-getter who is keen to learn and join meetings with the Senior adviser, as well as run some more basic meetings solo. We develop deep and long-lasting relationships with our clients, this is reflected by the regular referrals we receive from within our client base. As a result of our continued expansion we are looking to add to our team to enhance our service delivery and ease the burden on the managing partners. The role is extremely varied and will see the successful applicant actively involved across every level of the advice process. It is expected that you will participate in, and depending on level of experience, lead client meetings with a Managing Partner present initially and then conduct your own meetings and reviews. From this meeting you will collate file notes, develop and research strategies and products, review the SOA / ROA's from the paraplanner and liaise with the Office Manager / Client Service Officers to implement recommendations, including updating Adviser Logic as needed. You will grow a database of clients over time that will become your clients to manage and review (initially under supervision). We place much trust in our employees to 'do the right thing' and do not operate in a culture of micro-management. In return for this flexibility we expect deadlines to be met and tasks to be prioritised during busy periods without the need for the Partners or Office Manager to double handle or check that tasks have been completed. This is a genuine stepping stone to a potential long term Partnership position within an expanding Wealth division that embraces technology and a push toward professionalism in the industry. There will be a high level of client interaction and with time it is expected that you will manage a portfolio of the businesses' clients as you mature in your career. It is expected that this role will transition to potential for equity over the long term. It is expected that you will be able to demonstrate: Excellent written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail – accuracy and compliance are extremely important to you and you are able to demonstrate a strong technical knowledge Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role, or able to demonstrate applicable skills ADFP / Tertiary Qualifications, meeting the requirements to be an Authorised Representative. Already passed the FASEA exam. Strong planning skills across all facets of Financial Planning, with a focus on overall wealth advice. Sound understanding of investment markets including SMA's, ETF's, Direct Shares and Wrap Accounts Up to date with CPD points and a clean compliance record. Salary is negotiable depending on experience. A base salary and bonus structure will be in place.
