Groundsperson Streetscape Maintenance Salary $60,495.24 to $70,156.32 p/a + super 38 hours per week/9 day fortnight Help maintain and enhance the presentation of our urban environments About Ku-ring-gai Council Located 16 km’s north of the Sydney CBD, the Ku-ring-gai area covers 84km2, is home to 124,000 residents and set in one of New South Wales’ most attractive natural environments. About the role Ku-ring-gai Council is known for its beautiful streetscapes, parks and public spaces — and we’re looking for a dedicated Groundsperson to help maintain and enhance the presentation of our urban environments. As part of our Streetscape Maintenance team, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and visual appeal of our local streets, gardens and open spaces. Your duties will include, but are not limited to Undertaking streetscape and landscape maintenance, including mowing, edging, pruning and planting Maintaining garden beds, street trees and town centre plantings Assisting with minor landscape improvements and clean-up works Operating plant and equipment safely and efficiently Providing excellent customer service to residents and visitors Qualifications, skills & experience Experience in horticultural maintenance Class C Drivers Licence and able to drive a manual WHS Construction Induction Certificate (White card) or willingness to undertake training MR manual Drivers Licence or willingness to undertake training in the first 3 months of starting with Council First Aid Certificate or willingness to undertake training Benefits 38 hour working week/ 9 day fortnight Access to Fitness Passport Novated Lease options available for private use vehicles Up to $100 yearly Health & Fitness reimbursement (conditional) Free confidential Employee Assistance Program Beautiful Ku-ring-gai Location Supportive team environment Access to a wide range of development and training opportunities For more information on the benefits offered at Ku-ring-gai Council, please refer to our website click here.
