About the opportunity As Cyber Security Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our organisation’s systems and data. The role is responsible for identifying potential vulnerabilities, analysing security breaches, and implementing effective security measures to protect our systems from cyber threats. About the NSW SES NSW SES saving lives and creating safer communities. A trusted volunteer-based emergency service, working together to deliver excellence in community preparedness and emergency response. The NSW State Emergency Service (NSW SES) is an emergency and rescue service made up almost entirely of volunteers and supported by a small staff contingent. NSW SES is a key influencer of other emergency service agencies and works closely with these partners to modernise and grow volunteering to save lives and protect communities. While major responsibilities are for flood, storm operations and tsunamis, the NSW SES also provides the majority of general rescue effort in the rural parts of the state. This includes road accident rescue, vertical rescue, bush search and rescue, evidence searches (both metropolitan and rural), other forms of specialist rescue that may be required due to local threats, Urban Search and Rescue and Community First Response. About you To ensure you are set up for success you will have : Experience in a cyber security analyst or similar role Strong understanding of relevant standards and frameworks such as ISO27001, E8, COBIT, PCI-DSS, SOC2, NIST, ISM or CSF. Experience in working with remediation of vulnerabilities across broad range of technical solutions and platforms. Experience preparing reviews, assessments, and reports. Strong stakeholder communication and coordination skills with the ability to cooperate in forums such as working groups, committee meetings, and stakeholder consultations. An ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge on ICT, cyber security, and cyber risk trends. Proficiency in a programming language such as PowerShell, Python (Desirable) What we can offer you Employment with attractive leave entitlements including parental leave, recreation and flex leave and other leave entitlements.
