Project Coordinator - Transportable Buildings (Pathway to Project Manager) Project Coordinator – Transportable Buildings (Pathway to Project Manager) Mackay, QLD | Full-time Take ownership of transportable building projects and work towards a senior management role. This position offers hands‑on experience leading projects from planning to delivery, with a clear pathway to Project Manager as part of planned succession. About us M&P Services is a proudly local, family‑owned business operating across Queensland since 1986. We specialise in the manufacture, hire, and sales of transportable buildings, mobile crib rooms, shipping container solutions, and associated products. Our client base spans Australia‑wide, Papua New Guinea, and New Caledonia. We are the largest manufacturer of portable & premanufactured buildings in both central and northern Queensland. This year we were awarded the Manufacturing Excellence award at the Resource Industry Network Awards. What you’ll do: Drive projects from concept to completion – design, compliance, construction, and client handover Work with internal draftsmen to review and develop plans Assist in ensuring compliance with building codes, legislation, and permits Help prepare proposals, tenders, quotations, and variations Provide practical, technical input on feasibility, modifications, and compliance Support scheduling, workflow, and project tracking Troubleshoot project challenges to maintain quality and delivery standards Act as a key contact for clients and liaise with office teams to keep stakeholders informed What you’ll bring: Current Builder’s Licence Experience in construction, modular, or transportable building projects EPS panel experience advantageous Understanding of building codes and compliance requirements Ability to conduct site inspections, measure‑ups and scoping of projects Development of detailed quotes & inclusions Excellent communication and client management skills Proficiency in scheduling and workflow tracking (Excel or similar software) Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to manage competing priorities This is a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on project management experience and progress into a Senior Management role within a supportive, family‑owned business.
