Director - DPP Financial Reporting

Job Description This role forms part of the national financial reporting team, supporting the business and our clients in the application of accounting standards and other financial reporting regulatory requirements. You will work closely with Partners, Managers and other staff members from multiple parts of the business, leading 2-3 financial reporting specialist topic areas and helping to work through complex technical accounting issues, review financial statements for disclosure compliance, develop and provide training to teams on new developments and common issues as well as develop publications for internal and external consumption. Location This role can be located in Melbourne or Sydney. Your Opportunity Provide formal consultations on the application of accounting standards/regulations to specific transactions Lead specific technical accounting subject matter focus group (e.g. leases, including service concession arrangements, public and private not-for-profit, Australian financial reporting requirements) Undertake pre‑issuance reviews each reporting period – review of financial statements for compliance with disclosure and accounting requirements relating to material items Work hand in hand with audit engagement teams in their pursuit of target clients Lead strategic direction and implementation of DPP strategy Actively participate in executive decision making for the team, including prioritise group‑wide resource allocations and projects, create opportunities for team members, recruit new secondees, business model decisions, budgeting Engage teams, instil confidence, and coach/mentor people to find meaning in their work and achieve exceptional results How are you Extraordinary?
