This might be the perfect opportunity for you We are seeking a friendly & enthusiastic person to join our team. ‘Merchandiser/Nursery Hand’ position in Southern Tasmania. About Us Tibball's Nursery is a wholesale, third-generation, family-owned business located in Brighton, Southern Tasmania. We have a trusted name in the horticulture industry, supplying plants to all regions of Tasmania. Our dedicated team consists of 56 employees. Next year marks our 80th year in operation. We supply a variety of plants to all major chain stores and retail garden centres throughout Tasmania, including Flower & Vegetable Seedlings, Potted Herbs, Potted Tomatoes, Potted Capsicums, Potted Chilli, Potted Strawberries, Potted Colour, Cyclamen, Indoor House Plants & Flowering Perennials in various sizes. Merchandiser/Nursery Hand based in Southern Tasmania – Job Details Full time position working 38 hours per week, with overtime available. Assist our current Merchandisers in Southern Tasmanian stores. Clean, move up & make space for plants on benches. Arrange plants on benches in a presentable manner. Learn customer systems & use of devices. Place Greenlife orders while consulting with customers. Help put stock away on benches after store deliveries. Create strong working relationship with our customers. Visit customers throughout Tasmania in our display van (Shared Roster) When not merchandising work in the nursery assisting with Nursery Hand duties, including preparing orders in our dispatch areas, packing orders, watering, working in our production shed, spacing & moving plants, potting & transplanting by hand, watering & weeding. Induction & training will be provided by our current Southern Merchandisers & Management. The successful applicant must: Have reliable transport with a current car driver's licence. Work extremely well in a team environment & individually. Be highly motivated. Work well under pressure. Be physically fit (Due to the amount of lifting) Must be willing to work in all types of weather conditions. Must have excellent punctuality. Applicant who has had previous experience in either retail merchandising or in a Greenlife environment will be strongly considered but is not an essential requirement. Hourly rate will be negotiated according to experience and position. You will be employed under the Nursery Award 2020.
