We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Market Specialist to join us in our Market Services team in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney or Perth on a Permanent Full Time basis. Reporting to the Manager Products & Services, you will coordinate and maintain market regulatory compliance for APA’s Gas or Power assets, ensuring adherence to relevant rules and procedures. Key Responsibilities Provide interpretation and guidance on electricity or gas market compliance obligations and rule requirements. Develop, implement, and maintain market compliance frameworks, assurance processes, and reporting in line with APA standards. Analyse market trends, provide advice and recommendations on optimising APA’s gas and electricity assets in the facilitated markets. Lead assurance activities, process improvements, and initiatives to ensure ongoing compliance with market obligations. Advocate APA’s position on rule changes and manage associated system, process, and people changes. Manage electricity or gas market regulatory data submissions and respond to operator or regulator queries promptly. Act as the primary interface with AEMO and support representation in market design and development forums. Your background Tertiary qualification and/or relevant work experience in a related discipline. Experience managing electricity or gas market activities in mid-to-large organisations. Strong ability to interpret and apply regulatory frameworks. Demonstrated high level of written and verbal communication. Proven track record in developing and implementing process improvements, governance, and compliance frameworks. Demonstrated commercial acumen, accountability, and customer-focused approach.
