Total Effective Package: $169,204 - $176,787 (p.a.)* Full time contract Exciting Opportunity to Shape Health Outcomes in Central Australia Join a growing team that brings together leading research organisations, Aboriginal Health services, and Universities to collaborate on improving health outcomes for Aboriginal communities in Central Australia. The Manager of Engagement will provide both leadership and operational management for CAAHSN’s partnerships with Aboriginal Health Service partner organisations, other Aboriginal-controlled organisations in Central Australia, and directly with Aboriginal communities in the region through their recognised representatives. This role is essential for maintaining and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that the voices of Aboriginal communities are heard and their priorities are integrated into CAAHSN's work. As Manager of Engagement, you will ensure that the priorities, values, and leadership of Central Australian and Barkly Aboriginal health services are identified, updated, and clearly communicated. Your role will inform all aspects of CAAHSN’s work—from governance and research co-design to translation, advocacy, and impact. You will gather insights from community engagement and present this knowledge to senior management, including the CEO and COO, ensuring that Aboriginal perspectives are central to our strategy and operations. CAAHSN employees are seconded from Central Australian Aboriginal Congress, the Northern Territory’s largest Aboriginal-controlled health service. Strong track record of successful partner engagement, relationship building, and collaboration across organisations. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to write detailed reports and professional correspondence. Experience in budget development and management, as well as staff supervision. Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills. Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects or programmes, including balancing competing priorities and meeting tight deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills with the flexibility to adapt to a dynamic and evolving work environment. Sound knowledge of health research priorities and funding mechanisms. A deep understanding of and commitment to the principles of Aboriginal Community Control. Practical cultural awareness and experience working with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations.
