Role Responsibilities Policy and Program Development You will have responsibility for the following activities and tasks: Lead the development, implementation, and improvement of strategic policies and programs, ensuring measurable outcomes and alignment with organisational and government priorities. Drive cross‑agency collaboration and stakeholder engagement to address complex policy challenges and deliver coordinated, innovative solutions. Represent the department in high‑level negotiations and forums, influencing decisions, and enhancing the department's reputation. Evaluate and refine policies and programs to ensure alignment with government priorities, legislation, and community needs, delivering sustainable and impactful outcomes. Manage resources, budgets, and competing priorities to deliver efficient and accountable policy and program outcomes within organisational and financial standards. Provide expert advice to senior executives and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with government objectives and organisational strategies. Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams, fostering high performance, innovation, and continuous improvement while building staff capability. Data Analytics and Business Insights You will have responsibility for the following activities and tasks: Lead the development and implementation of data analytics frameworks and insights that inform small and family business policy. Provide strategic advice on data and analytics to executive leadership. Oversee the integration of data systems and platforms to enhance organisational capabilities. Manage relationships with external vendors and partners across government to deliver data solutions. Drive innovation in data analytics and insights to support policy and program evaluation. Develop and implement data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with Queensland Government standards. Promote data literacy, providing leadership and support to empower teams to use data effectively.
