Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Coordinator in our Emergency Assistance team. As a member of the Financial Health Services department, working within the Emergency Assistance program, you will support our vulnerable customers by providing timely and non-judgemental emergency assistance services assisting them with accessing food, clothing and other supplies. Responsibilities Support vulnerable customers by providing timely and non-judgemental emergency assistance services, assisting them with accessing food, clothing and other supplies. About You You will be able to demonstrate experience working in a community services organisation in a similar role, working with diverse groups of people and understanding of the challenges experienced by vulnerable people. Being familiar with navigating NGO supports and knowledge of appropriate referrals, particularly within crisis services along with your deep listening and observation skills, free from judgement or interpretation, will ensure your ability to create safe and welcoming spaces for diverse people and communities. Qualifications Experience working alongside people with lived experience. Ability to communicate in a trauma-informed and empathetic manner. Ability to ask the right questions and explain support services and referrals in an uncomplicated manner. A current DHS Working With Children Check and National Police Clearance, or willing to obtain one prior to commencement of employment (organisation will cover the application fee).
