About the role The Senior Project Officer (AO6), Transactions and Advisory supports the delivery of complex and high-profile private sector and government projects designed to generate economic and social benefits for the State. The role requires sound commercial judgment, strong analytical skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders to achieve timely and effective outcomes. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the position assists in the identification, assessment, negotiation and implementation of strategic investment opportunities, applying project management, governance and stakeholder engagement frameworks to deliver results. Key responsibilities Implement relevant and effective project management, stakeholder management and governance frameworks. Provide accurate and timely analysis, reporting and advice to support informed decision-making. Monitor project progress, identify emerging risks and opportunities, and propose practical solutions. Coordinate engagement and management of external advisors from a range of disciplines. Prepare high-quality briefs, correspondence, submissions and reports on complex issues. Assist with preparation of funding bids and budgets, liaising with finance teams to support project delivery. Provide secretariat services for project committees with interdepartmental and private sector representation. Liaise with other government agencies to identify opportunities and resolve delivery challenges. Maintain productive working relationships with the private sector and project partners.
