We are seeking an experienced Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer Lead to join our team and drive the design, implementation, and optimisation of our IAM solutions. This is a leadership role where you will oversee technical delivery, mentor engineers, and ensure security best practices across identity platforms. The office requirement for this role is 1 day in the office. Open to Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney, with Brisbane the preferred location. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of IAM and CIAM solutions (e.g., Ping Identity, ForgeRock, Azure AD, Okta, SailPoint). Define and enforce identity governance, access control policies, and security standards. Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application teams to integrate IAM across the enterprise and customer-facing platforms. Manage and mentor a team of IAM engineers, providing technical guidance and career development. Drive automation initiatives for provisioning, de-provisioning, and access reviews. Stay current with emerging IAM/CIAM technologies and regulatory requirements. Skills & Experience Proven experience in IAM engineering and leadership roles. Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) experience with platforms like Ping Identity or ForgeRock . Strong knowledge of identity protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, LDAP). Hands‑on experience with IAM platforms (Azure AD, Okta, SailPoint, etc.). Familiarity with Zero Trust principles and cloud security best practices. Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Robert Walters Australia is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
