Overview Senior Engineer - Hydrologic & Hydraulic Modelling Join to apply for the Senior Engineer - Hydrologic & Hydraulic Modelling role at Spiire. About the opportunity We are seeking a Senior Engineer to strengthen our hydrologic and hydraulic modelling capability. The role involves both delivery of modelling services and development of our processes and people. You will be exposed to a wide range of integrated projects and enjoy true variety in your work. Responsibilities Being recognised as a technical lead on complex, multi-disciplinary projects and contributing high-quality engineering solutions Undertake modelling on small to large scale projects, including existing and proposed pipe networks, waterways and retarding basins, and dam break analysis Develop our team’s capabilities and be involved in process improvement and optimisation Assess the big picture of modelling within the project workflow, with a growth-minded mindset Work with clients and authorities to communicate and interpret modelling implications and find a way forward for client projects Mentor and develop graduates and junior engineers, fostering a strong professional development culture Qualifications Seasoned Civil or Environmental Engineer with a proven track record delivering flood modelling and readiness for a technical lead role Experience in modelling urban drainage, waterways, and retarding basins, with strong report writing skills Strong proficiency in TUFLOW and RORB, with exposure to HECRAS and DRAINS Experience leading, developing and mentoring teams or individuals A passion for teamwork and collaboration; multidisciplinary approach to projects Experience with water authorities, local councils or water corporations is highly regarded Culture and Benefits At Spiire, our culture is our point of difference.
