About the Role The Director Emerging Industries is an exciting new role within DEED’s Science, Innovation, Industry and Corporate Capability portfolio. The Director will oversee the development of emerging economic diversification opportunities, with a particular focus on health and biomedical life sciences and space industries. The role involves leading, developing and delivering key manufacturing and industry development deliverables, and coordinating a team of subject‑matter experts to ensure policy objectives respond to sector‑wide issues, focusing on sustainable and long‑term benefits for Western Australia. Experience delivering complex industry development programmes and engaging and managing a variety of stakeholders is essential.
