Paralegal (Criminal) L3 Salary : PSCSA Level 3 - $86,439 - $92,795 Location : Perth CBD Work Type : Fixed Term - Full Time, Fixed Term - Part Time, Permanent - Full Time, Permanent - Part Time Position No : Pool Ref L3 Closing Date : 4 : 30 PM Attachments : - The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) is a critical participant in the administration of justice within Western Australia, providing an independent and effective criminal prosecution service and confiscation practice. The Legal Practice Support Branch delivers paralegal, clerical and administrative support services to State Prosecutors throughout the criminal, civil and appellate areas of the ODPP. The Branch is made up of a group of experienced managers and supervisors, and a dedicated team of paralegals and legal practice support officers. We are looking to establish a pool of talent for applicants with a paralegal, administrative or clerical background who have a team and customer service focus, solid communication skills, the ability to prioritise tasks and a demonstrated ability to apply and interpret legislation, policies and procedures, to fill vacancies across different areas of the Legal Practice Support Branch. Suitable applicants will be placed in a recruitment pool from which appointments will be made. This pool will run for a period of twelve months and may be used to fill permanent, fixed-term, full time and part time vacancies if they arise and subject to business needs. About the Roles As a Paralegal, you will play an important role in supporting the State’s most serious criminal prosecutions and contribute to the team’s efficiency. Working closely with State Prosecutors you will help prepare cases, solve problems and progress matters. Your strong paralegal or administration experience will ensure high standards within the team, and your interest in pursuing a career as a paralegal will drive your commitment to this role. You will be responsible for providing a range of paralegal, clerical and administrative support to State Prosecutors. You will prepare and manage case material; and provide service to external stakeholders. A legal background is not essential to fulfill the requirements of the role.
