$135,000 + super + salary packaging | Hybrid work options | Not-for-profit | Based north of CBD National leadership role within a purpose-driven not-for-profit organisation $135,000 + super + salary packaging | Hybrid work options – 3 days in the office & 2 from home Opportunity to shape safety strategy and psychosocial wellbeing across a multi-state footprint About the role Our client, a not-for-profit based north of Melbourne’s CBD is looking for an experienced Work Health & Safety Manager to join their large, purpose-driven not-for-profit organisation operating across multiple states and territories. This is a senior leadership role within the People & Culture function, responsible for leading the organisation’s national WHS strategy, safety management systems and psychosocial safety framework across diverse community-based services. Key responsibilities Reporting to the Director of People & Culture, you will provide expert WHS leadership across a national footprint, ensuring legislative compliance, continuous improvement and a strong, proactive safety culture. You will lead a small specialist team and partner closely with executives, senior leaders and operational managers. National WHS governance, strategy and compliance across multiple jurisdictions Psychosocial risk management and early intervention initiatives Workers compensation and injury management performance Safety culture, consultation and capability building Incident management, investigations and regulator liaison Executive and Board-level reporting and insights Leadership and development of a national WHS team About you You are a seasoned WHS leader with experience operating across complex, multi-site organisations. You bring strong technical knowledge, sound judgement and the ability to influence at executive level, while remaining hands-on and solutions focused. A tertiary qualification in WHS or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) Proven experience in a senior WHS leadership role within a medium to large organisation Experience operating across complex, multi-site organisations Experience managing WHS and workers compensation across multiple states Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and Codes of Practice Experience leading incident investigations and critical incident responses The ability to develop meaningful reports and dashboards for senior leaders and Boards The ability to influence at executive level, while remaining hands-on and solutions focused.
