The construction arm of a nationally recognised retail organisation is seeking an experienced and hands‑on Handyman to join our Queensland-based team. This division manages ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and fit‑out projects across the company's retail network. This is a hands‑on and varied role ideal for a jack‑of‑all‑trades with a strong practical mindset. The Handyman will carry out day‑to‑day maintenance, repairs, and light construction or fit‑out tasks across multiple retail and warehouse sites throughout Queensland. The position can be offered as a full‑time role or structured under your own ABN for greater flexibility. Key Responsibilities Undertake general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep across retail and warehouse sites Carry out basic carpentry, painting, plastering, welding, and minor plumbing or electrical tasks (where licensed) Assist with new store fit‑outs, refurbishments, and layout modifications Install shelves, fixtures, and signage as required Coordinate and oversee subcontractors on smaller projects Maintain tools, vehicles, and ensure work areas meet safety and quality standards Provide practical onsite solutions and communicate effectively with internal teams Travel across multiple retail and warehouse sites throughout Queensland as required Skills and Experience Proven experience as a Handyman, Maintenance Technician, or similar role Broad trade knowledge (carpentry, painting, welding, roofing, tiling, or general repairs) Strong practical skills and ability to complete varied hands‑on tasks Physically fit, reliable, and able to work independently Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport essential Trade qualification (carpentry, joinery, or general maintenance) desirable Sound problem‑solving ability and attention to detail What's on Offer Competitive salary package $85,000 - $100,000 + super (based on skills and experience) Option to work under your own ABN if preferred Stable, full‑time position based in Queensland with a reputable national organisation Ongoing pipeline of work within the construction and maintenance division Opportunities for career progression and development into project or site coordination roles Supportive and safety‑focused team environment How to Apply If you're a versatile Handyman looking for a stable and rewarding role with consistent work across Queensland, we'd love to hear from you.
