About the Company The construction arm of a nationally recognised retail organisation is seeking an experienced and hands‑on Handyman to join our NSW team. This division manages ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and fit-out projects across the company's retail network. About the Role This is a hands‑on and varied role ideal for a jack‑of‑all‑trades with a strong practical mindset. The Handyman will carry out day‑to‑day maintenance, repairs, and light construction or fit‑out tasks across multiple retail and warehouse sites. The position can be offered as a full‑time role or structured under your own ABN for greater flexibility. Key Responsibilities Undertake general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep across retail and warehouse sites. Carry out basic carpentry, painting, plastering, welding, and minor plumbing or electrical tasks (where licensed). Assist with new store fit‑outs, refurbishments, and layout modifications. Install shelves, fixtures, and signage as required. Coordinate and oversee subcontractors on smaller projects. Maintain tools, vehicles, and ensure work areas meet safety and quality standards. Provide practical onsite solutions and communicate effectively with internal teams. Travel across multiple retail and warehouse sites throughout NSW as required. Skills and Experience Proven experience as a Handyman, Maintenance Technician, or similar role. Broad trade knowledge (carpentry, painting, welding, roofing, tiling, or general repairs). Strong practical skills and ability to complete varied hands‑on tasks. Physically fit, reliable, and able to work independently. Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport essential. Trade qualification (carpentry, joinery, or general maintenance) desirable. Sound problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
