In office presence required 2-3 days per week Term: Full time, Ongoing About the Building Commission NSW Building Commission NSW (BCNSW) has been established after the NSW Government recognised the substantial progress made by Fair Trading and the Office of the Building Commissioner in delivering once-in-a-generation reforms of the building and construction industry. For more information about this opportunity: Responsibilities Plan and undertake testing by writing and executing functional and non-functional tests, including debugging and refactoring test code to ensure high quality and fit for purpose. Investigate problems, analyse options and provide recommendations for new and existing services, initiatives, strategies and products to improve compliance, effectiveness and risk management. Translate complex analysis into meaningful insights and recommendations to influence diverse stakeholders with varying expectations. Provide direction and guidance to the team to enable defect resolution and improve the quality of system development. Conduct assessments to evaluate the implications of proposed changes and document business rules functions and requirements. Support delivery of complex programs and initiatives to realise efficiencies and benefits within a fast‑paced, agile, high‑volume environment. Build and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to gain specialist knowledge and facilitate scoping and priority setting. Qualifications Experience in digital projects as a test analyst or in a quality assurance role. Problem‑solving ability to navigate ambiguity and lead others to achieve business outcomes. Experience in a regulatory and government environment. Experience working with complex and diverse stakeholder groups. Advanced written and verbal communication skills. A strong commitment to providing excellent customer service. Proven capability to present complex technical information to non‑technical stakeholders. Experience conducting workshops for requirements gathering, process mapping and stakeholder engagement.
