Crowne Plaza Melbourne Carlton (pre-opening) is set to open in December 2025 as a vibrant cosmopolitan hotel within Melbourne’s Innovation District. Conveniently located near world’class universities, the hotel offers guests an unforgettable experience whether they visit for business, leisure, or a meaningful gathering. Role Overview Full‑time and part‑time Guest Services Agent positions are available. As a Guest Services Agent, you will be the welcoming face of the hotel, ensuring each guest’s arrival and departure feels effortless and memorable. You will also contribute to the pre‑opening team, helping lay the operational foundation for the Front Desk and preparing the hotel for its first official opening. Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities Support Front Office Leadership during the pre‑opening period: implement ways of working, set up the hotel, test technology solutions and prepare the Front Desk for trial stays. Greet guests warmly and assist with check‑in/check‑out, ensuring every interaction is effortless. Deliver outstanding guest experiences by providing helpful information, resolving inquiries, and anticipating needs with professionalism and care. Promote the IHG One Rewards program through enrollment, recognition and guest engagement. Support reservations and guest requests, from room and dining bookings to local recommendations, with accuracy and efficiency. Uphold brand and service standards by maintaining a polished front‑desk area, handling payments securely and coordinating with other departments. Required Qualifications Previous experience in a guest‑facing or hospitality role, with a passion for delivering memorable experiences. Strong numerical and analytical skills; accuracy and attention to detail in financial transactions. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage confidently with guests and colleagues. Proficient computer literacy and familiarity with property‑management and accounting systems. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, using sound judgment under high‑pressure situations. Strong organizational and time‑management skills and the ability to prioritize effectively. Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends and public holidays as required.
