Young Henrys is a proudly independent brewery built on good beer, good mates and community spirit Our Newtown Tasting Bar is where people with a passion for the arts, music and community come together and we're looking for an energetic, operations-minded hospitality individual to help keep it all humming. About the Role This 2IC (Second-in-Charge) role is part‑time, 20 hours per week. This position requires evening availability and a flexible schedule including both weekdays and weekends. You'll work closely with the Tasting Bar Manager to maintain service standards, oversee shifts, and ensure the space always operates in alignment with Young Henrys’ core values. You'll also be trained to run brewery tours—so confidence, curiosity, and great storytelling skills are a huge plus. Did we also mention a love of beer? Key Responsibilities Ensure the Tasting Bar is running to set guidelines, budgets, and policy. Lead and motivate the bar team, providing a positive and supportive environment. Oversee bar setup, pack‑down, cleanliness, and stock presentation. Maintain RSA standards and ensure compliance with all safety procedures. Assist in implementing new operational or management procedures as directed. Deliver engaging and informative brewery tours (training provided). About You Weekend availability (non‑negotiable). Hospitality experience is essential; Any level of bar supervisor experience is welcomed and will be highly regarded. Strong operational awareness and attention to detail. Confident and comfortable engaging with diverse groups. Able to lead a team with clarity, positivity, and calm under pressure. Interest in craft beer, brewing, and local culture.
